The Program
Day 1: Arrival in Muscat and City Discovery
Upon your arrival at Muscat Airport, your guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. After a brief rest, you will begin exploring the capital of Oman. The first stop will be the majestic Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, a masterpiece of modern Islamic architecture. Your guide will reveal the most fascinating details of the mosque, famous for its handcrafted carpet and crystal chandelier.
After the mosque, a maritime adventure awaits: a dolphin-watching excursion in the crystal-clear waters of the Gulf of Oman. At the end of the excursion, we will return to the hotel to relax before resuming the tour in the afternoon.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum to learn about Oman’s cultural heritage, and end the day with a walk along the Muttrah Corniche and a visit to the characteristic Muttrah Souk.
Day 2: Desert Excursion and Wadi Bani Khalid
The day begins with an excursion to the heart of the Wahiba Desert, where you will experience the vastness of the golden dunes and have the opportunity to learn about Bedouin life. You can also ride camels and take a break for a traditional lunch.
In the afternoon, we will head to the picturesque Wadi Bani Khalid, a green oasis with natural pools where you can swim or simply relax while enjoying the surrounding landscape. Return to the hotel in Muscat for the night.
Day 3: Departure for Salalah
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Salalah, located in the southern region of Oman. Upon arrival, your local guide will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.
In the afternoon, you will begin your tour by discovering the Dhofar Mountains, famous for their lush vegetation, especially during the khareef (monsoon) season. You will visit the ruins of the ancient city of Sumhuram, an important stop on the incense route. The day will end with a stroll on the splendid Mughsail beach, known for its cliffs and natural blowholes.
Day 4: Exploring Salalah
The day will be dedicated to discovering the city of Salalah and its surroundings. You will visit the Sultan Qaboos Mosque in Salalah and the Frankincense Market, where you can explore the local aromas and spices. This will include visits to natural waterfalls and coconut plantations that characterize this unique region.
In the afternoon, you can relax on the beach or take an optional excursion, such as a horseback ride along the coast. Return to the hotel for the night.
Day 5: Return to Muscat and Departure
After breakfast, fly back to Muscat. Upon arrival, you will have free time to explore the city on your own or do some last-minute souvenir shopping. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight, taking unforgettable memories of your trip to Oman with you.
