Oman ranked fourth in the world for quality of life in the first half of 2024

The Sultanate of Oman has been ranked fourth in the world in terms of quality of life. According to an assessment by Numbeo, Oman ranked behind Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Denmark.

Luxembourg ranked first with 219.3 points, the Netherlands second with 207.5 points and Denmark third with 205.6 points.

Oman scored 204 points. The quality of life index provides an overall assessment of the various factors that contribute to the general well-being and standard of living of the population in a given country or city.

The index is based on an empirical formula that takes into account factors such as the purchasing power index, the security index, the climate index, the pollution index, the housing price/income ratio, the cost of living index, the health index and the transport time index.
